Rene Trossman Band
The Band:
-
Rene Trossman - Guitar (Chicago, Illinois) Rene Trossman is a guitar player with a long history in Blues Music.
Since turning pro in 1985 Rene has just about done it all. The fantastic Chicago club scene, where
he was a regular at both South Side and West Side clubs, playing with the likes of Buddy Scott, Byther Smith,
Lurrie Bell, Iceman Robinson, Little Mack Simmons, Lorenzo Thompson, Deitra Farr, and others.
-
Jakub "Kuba" Zomer (Czech Republic) - Piano/Organ - Jakub Zomer is another musician who has had a long time affiliation with Rene Trossman
over the years. Jakub graduated from the Conservatory of Jaroslav Jezek, where he is currently a Professor. Jakub is a true student of the blues,
and can bang it out like Sunnyland Slim on the piano, or groove it like Jimmy Smith on the organ. Jakub's main blues influences are Ray Charles,
Charles Brown and B. B. King. Jakub enjoys kayaking and cycling in his free time.
-
Taras Voloshchuk (Ukraine) - double-bass. Originally from Kiev, Ukraine. Taras is Rene's main-man in the band. Taras has been super active
on the Czech Jazz and Blues scene for the past 10 years and during this time he's became one of the most sought after jazz and blues
double-bass players on the Prague scene. He is particularly adept at laying down the right grooves with the right feel.
Taras has played with Rene for the better part of the last 8 years and they have an on-stage connection that borders on telepathic!
Taras enjoys collecting jazz and blues records.
-
Dusan Cernak (Slovakia) - Drums - From Polomka, Slovakia, Dusan's growing interest in jazz music lead him to the Jaroslav Jezek Jazz Music Conservatory,
in Prague. In his relatively short career. Dusan brings a super-solid groove to the band, and can really lay down that "pocket" needed for playing blues
and jazz music. Rene has played a lot of drummers in the past 25 years and is very excited about Dusan joining the band. Dusan has already played with
many established musicians in Prague and elsewhere. Dusan is far too busy for any hobbies...
